Family Protection

What could be better than a dog that lovingly and safely interacts with your children, and yet is willing to protect your family no matter what?
Your protection dog should be part of the family at all times. A well-trained socialized dog will be comfortable in any public situation: travelling with mom and the kids to the store, or on the school run or after-school activities.

Wouldn’t you feel more secure when you come home, knowing your dog will alert you if any intruders are inside waiting for you? Or that if things get out of hand when a visitor comes to your home, your personal protection dog is quietly at your side, ready to protect the family on your command.
The right dog for your family.

Getting a personal protection dog is one of the most important decisions your family will make, that’s why we encourage the whole family to get involved right from the beginning. We like to get to know you all, find out everyone’s expectations and needs for a dog of this caliber. That way we can best choose a dog that will make the right fit – and don’t worry, we always have at least 50 to choose from!

Personal Protection Dogs

PERSONAL PROTECTION DOGS
Our personal protection dogs are trained for protection and companionship.
A personal protection dog will enhance your family’s security, and add to your quality of life. The fragile economy has increased the number of instabilities in our nation and a rise in crime is one of them.  Home invasion is the leading crime of  the past few years.  This crime leaves us feeling exposed—we’ve  lost the sense of security we’d normally have in our homes.

A personal protection dog is an alarm that wakes you even before someone enters your home. They are part of the family and cannot be used against you. Your protection K9 will react instantly in a crisis and remain obedient. A Southern Coast K9 dog provides security that is dependable, manageable and benefits the whole family. You are 100% safe and secure in the company of your personal protection dog as they are fully socialized and can accompany you in virtually any social setting.

These dogs are highly mobile and offer you the ability to continue your everyday lifestyle with peace-of-mind. Your personal protection dog will faithfully be there for not only you but your family too, giving you valuable personal freedom.

Rottweiler

The Rottweiler is a medium to large size breed of domestic dog that originated in Rottweil, Germany. The dogs were known as “Rottweil butchers’ dogs” (German: Rottweiler Metzgerhund) because they were used to herd livestock and pull carts laden with butchered meat and other products to market. Some records indicate that earlier Rottweilers may have also been used for hunting, although the modern Rottweiler has a relatively low hunting instinct.

The Rottweiler was employed in its traditional roles until the mid-19th century when railways replaced droving for getting livestock to market. While still used in herding, Rottweilers are now also used in search and rescue, as guide dogs for the blind, as guard or police dogs, and in other roles.[2]

Belgian Malinois

The Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois) is a breed of dog, sometimes classified as a variety of the Belgian Shepherd Dog rather than as a separate breed. The Malinois is recognized in the United States under the name Belgian Malinois. Its name is the French word for Mechlinian, which is in Dutch either Mechelse herdershond (shepherd dog from Mechelen) or Mechelaar (one from Mechelen).

These dogs are popular for K-9 use in police departments, as are German Shepherds.

Search & Rescue Dogs

Our Search and Rescue Dogs are trained to find alive missing people in forests, rubble, ruins, etc. by following a scent which is carried on the air and to ignore all interfernces in their working area such as scattered food, working rescuers, rescue euipment.
This is a very efficint method of searching large areas quickly and does not require items of clothing or effect of the missing person. Dogs work equally well in the dark and use their senses of smell and hearing to their fullest under these conditions.
It is calculated that dog is equivalent to about 20 searchers in good conditions and many more in poor conditions.
In ideal conditions, a dog can pick up a human scent from about 500 meters.
